Zagora Day Trip to Erg Chigaga Tour – Itinerary:

Morning time: Zagora - M'hamid - The sacred Oasis - Erg Chigaga

Our excursion begins from your stay in Zagora or its areas at 8 am. We'll head through Tizi Anagame and Ben Selman for approximately an hour and a quarter. Then you discover the desert by going off-road for 2 hours to reach the big sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. As we continue our journey, you'll be treated to a Diverse desert landscape featuring stone plateaus, distinctive sand dunes, and the unique desert trees such as Tamarisque and Acacia with various plants. We'll occasionally pause to capture the beautifully landscaped photos and visit the water source in the middle of the oasis. After, we'll arrive at our camp nestled under the foot of the largest real sand dune of Chigaga at an appropriate time. Here, you'll be warmly welcomed by serving a Berber cup of tea and lunch meal. You'll also have the opportunity to ride on a camel around the sand dunes and try sandboarding. You will benefit from a trek to the top of the high dunes, allowing you to explore the depths of the sand dunes and witness the mesmerizing panoramic view on the sand sea.

Evening time: Erg Chigaga - Erg Lihoudi - Tamegroute - Zagora
In the afternoon, and you've savored all the activities this excursion offers, you will get back to Zagora passing by some villages of Draa Valley. On your way back where you will make a stop in Tamegroute, to visit an old Coran library and a subterranean kasbah then continue to your destination in Zagora where your tour will conclude around 7 pm.
